Testimonials
"Thanks for your service. We like the 11 foot ceilings in your self serviced accommodation and ducted air conditioning worked like a treat. Over Christmas it was 42C in Whyalla and Villa 2 remained cool throughout this period. On the nights that we did not cook we followed your recommendation and walked to the New Whyalla Hotel at the end of Angwin Street. They make a good pizza!"

"Playford Lodge is a nice place. Just the right size for our family of two adults, two kids and our dog. The kids enjoyed having the whole array of Austar channels (100 or so) and at night we had BBQs under the carport area. Thank you for recommending going fishing and crabbing off the Whyalla jetty: it was a beautiful night and people were swimming and wading through the water which made for a great photo."

"Like your location. We come through from time to time to work on the Iron Duke mine and will add you to our preferred supplier list. Our workers were happy with living in a proper house rather than in a hotel. When they are happy we are happy!"

"Good job on the house. What you offer is unique and there is no comparison in Whyalla. It makes a nice change and I was quite comfortable and did not wish for anything. I'll pass on your details to a number of other doctors I know who travel to Whyalla."

"Thank you for giving us advice on whom to speak to for diving in Whyalla. Playford Lodge has been set up quite well - even the way that you have provided written instructions on how to use the more complex appliances like the ducted air conditioning. It helps a lot."

"Our company will be back in September 2011 and will be booking you. Our 3-person team were happy to live together in the one property, rather than in hotel rooms with no kitchens, and it still worked out to be $65/head per night which was good value considering that you had a kitchen and outside gas BBQ. We will be back in contact as a repeat customer."

"Your property is just what we needed and we were the first to stay there after your painters finished re-renovating the place. The inside and outside are immaculate. Nice job."

"Brilliant place for our contracting company to stay. We stayed for two weeks and loved the place. Absolutely everything our team needed while working away in Whyalla, especially the fact that you are walking distance to The New Whyalla Hotel."

"We found your short stay accommodation on www.whyallacuttlefish.com and ended up booking a fishing adventure with Steve's Fishing Charters. At night time both families enjoyed the luxury of Playford Lodge. Whyalla is the place to fish! You have a repeat customer! Nice 42" TVs too."

"The trip turned out to be rather special with our daughter's boyfriend proposing on Christmas Day. We sat out the back patio area and had a glass of champagne to celebrate!"

"Thank you for arranging for the mixed six bottles of South Australia red and white wines to be ready and waiting for us. We will buy online wine from Club Wine Direct from now on. It was really a nice touch and complimented the great property you operate in Whyalla."

"We are corporate letting agents and we will be placing Playford Lodge on our preferred suppliers list. Our clients include mining and infrastructure companies who typically base their staff in Whyalla for 3 months at a time. Playford Lodge’s location is excellent and the set up has made our clients happy. As soon as you walk into the property the high ceilings, polished floor boards and clean appearance makes an out-of-towner feel welcome and importantly at home. Being walking distance to The New Whyalla Hotel is well received too on the nights that we did not want to cook."

"This property was just what we needed. Thanks for organizing the deep freezer for storage of the fish we caught on our Whyalla fishing trip."

"We found you on a Whyalla Cuttlefish website and saw that you had been recommended as great accommodation. The cuttlefish diving trip went well. We will see you next year in June."

"Exceeded expectations, lovely property with lots of extras like Austar and coffee machine. Very convenient for us to stay with dogs when travelling from Roxby Downs. We hope to stay again in 3 months time and will recommend your duplex to others. Whyalla has long been overdue for quality accommodation like this so we are glad that we found you on the internet and could book online so easily."

"Your Lodge is spectacular. Bright, open and airy. A wonderful place to stay and we will certainly be back."

"The openness and cleanliness of Playford Lodge is amazing. Other Whyalla locations would struggle to meet the standards set here. The manager was amazing she answered any questions we had and the property was very family oriented. Great place for families wanting a holiday or just a week away."

“We absolutely loved your accommodation. We will definitely be returning to Playford Lodge when we next visit Whyalla and will definitely recommend you to our friends and family. Thank you for a great experience.”

“Thank you for having us stay at Playford Lodge Whyalla, but I will say that you almost lost a couch from the living room of Villa 1. I fell asleep on the unit my first night and woke with one of the best sleeps and pain free backs I have had for a while, so as to disprove this as a one off event I again slept on the couch and finally by our last night I was ready to load it onto a trailer if I had one. My Physio may have lost a patient if I had room. Again, thank you we all enjoyed our stay in the two Villas and look forward to our next visit.”

“I had a great stay at Playford Lodge in Whyalla. You have done a fantastic job with the Villas. The décor is great, fresh, clean, and modern. The facilities provide everything you need to be self sufficient when staying in Whyalla. The 42” TVs in both the bedroom and lounge were a great bonus (Villa 2 only).”
